Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, marking the largest mobility event ever held in India. The highly anticipated five-day expo, scheduled from January 17-22, promises to feature over 100 new product launches across a diverse range of sectors, including automobiles, components, and cutting-edge technologies.
Held across three venues – Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in Delhi and India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida – the event brings together the entire mobility ecosystem. This includes automobile manufacturers, component makers, electronics firms, tyre producers, energy storage companies, automotive software developers, and material recyclers.
PM Modi inaugurated the expo at Bharat Mandapam, where he was joined by Union ministers such as Nitin Gadkari, H.D. Kumaraswamy, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Manohar Lal, Piyush Goyal, and Hardeep Singh Puri, alongside leaders from the automobile industry. The inaugural event kicked off with high hopes, setting the stage for a transformative showcase of mobility solutions.
The theme of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, “Beyond Boundaries: Co-creating Future Automotive Value Chain,” aims to foster collaboration and innovation across the automotive and mobility sectors. The focus is on sustainability and the development of futuristic technological advancements that will shape the mobility landscape in India and globally.
In addition to over 9 concurrent shows, the expo will feature more than 20 conferences and pavilions. Special sessions focusing on state-level initiatives and policies will encourage collaboration at regional levels, facilitating dialogue between government bodies and industry stakeholders.
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 stands as an industry-led and government-supported initiative, coordinated by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India. The event enjoys the joint support of various industry bodies, including the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA), and several others.
This global expo, supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is expected to attract over 5 lakh visitors from across the world. With participation from more than 5,100 international exhibitors and representatives, the expo promises to be a hub of global innovation and networking in the mobility sector.
One of the key highlights of the event will be the focus on electric vehicles (EVs). At Bharat Mandapam, passenger vehicle leader Maruti Suzuki will unveil its highly anticipated electric SUV, the e VITARA. Rival Hyundai Motor India Ltd will also showcase its new electric model, the Crtea EV, on the first day of the expo.
In the luxury vehicle segment, German automobile giant Mercedes-Benz is set to make waves with the launch of its electric EQS Maybach SUV. The company will also showcase its electric concept CLA and the G Electric SUV. Similarly, BMW will unveil the all-electric BMW i7 and the all-new BMW X3 among other exciting new models. These product launches are expected to make up more than 40 new introductions, setting the stage for a significant shift toward electric mobility in India.
The expo will also feature a components show at Yashobhoomi from January 18-21, 2025, with over 1,000 exhibitors from seven countries. Participating countries will include Japan, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, and the UK, along with exhibitors from the USA, Israel, and Thailand. The components segment will showcase advancements in automotive technology, parts manufacturing, and supply chain solutions.
