All episodes of ‘Outstanding’ comedy finally dropping for free in the UK
A British comedy hailed as ‘ridiculously funny’ by fans is set to become available to watch for free in the UK.
Extraordinary, a superhero comedy series, first premiered on disney+ at the beginning of 2023. Set in a world where everyone develops a superpower upon turning 18, it follows the journey of Jen (Máiréad Tyers), a 25-year-old who has yet to acquire a power, despite seven years of expectation.
Upon its debut, the first season was met with widespread acclaim, earning a flawless 100% rating on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. Fans were quick to praise the show for its refreshing take on the superhero genre and its heartfelt exploration of self-discovery.
‘This show brings such a hopefulness to those who don’t have it all figured out yet. I found myself relating to every character on some level,’ wrote clara, a viewer.

Meanwhile, the rest of her life remains just as chaotic, with her personal relationships also facing significant challenges. As she struggles to carve out space for her burgeoning relationship, her living situation is further complicated by the fallout from Carrie and Kash’s breakup, with both exes still residing in the same flat.
In an exciting development for British audiences, both seasons of extraordinary will be available to stream for free for the first time in the UK next month, with ITVX set to release all 16 episodes.

However, despite its popularity and devoted fanbase, Extraordinary was met with an unfortunate fate when Disney announced last month that it would not be commissioning a third season. The cancellation came as a shock to many, given the show’s critical and audience success.
