Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage, emphasizing the nation’s pride in its ancient traditions and the ongoing efforts to uphold them. Speaking at the unveiling of the ‘Statue of Dignity’ of Hindu philosopher and social reformer Ramanujacharya in Ayodhya on Wednesday, Adityanath underscored the significance of preserving and honoring India’s historical legacy.
The Chief Minister highlighted recent developments aimed at reinforcing the nation’s traditional identity, including the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and the Ujjain Corridor. These projects, along with the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, reflect a commitment to maintaining India’s ancient heritage while strengthening national unity.
“Our Vedas, Upanishads, and the sacred teachings of Indian sages provide a new vision and inspire us towards public welfare,” Adityanath said. He emphasized the profound impact of India’s spiritual and religious legacy on contemporary society, noting that Ramanujacharya’s teachings from over a millennium ago continue to offer guidance.
In his address, Adityanath remarked on the symbolic importance of unveiling the statue of Ramanujacharya after 120 years. “It is a matter of immense pride that this statue has been unveiled on the holy land of Lord Shri Rama. India is the land of infinite knowledge and wisdom, continuing the tradition of our ‘Vedas’. Ramanujacharya Ji’s sacred teachings showed us the ‘dvait marg’ to navigate and avoid invaders,” he said, referring to the philosophical path of dualism advocated by the revered scholar.
The Chief Minister called upon the people to embrace the principles of Sanatan Dharm and contribute to the nation’s development. He urged citizens to participate in building a united and prosperous India, aligning with the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India).
“In every era, great souls, thinkers, philosophers, and social reformers have graced our land, guiding the country and inspiring society,” Adityanath concluded. He praised the enduring relevance of their teachings in shaping modern India and encouraged ongoing engagement with the nation’s deep-rooted traditions and values.
