‘She is smarter, would have chosen her as VP’: Donald Trump praises usha vance

Donald Trump, newly sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, made headlines with a light-hearted yet gracious comment about Usha Vance, wife of his Vice President, JD Vance. Speaking at a post-inauguration event in Washington, DC, Trump offered heartfelt praise for his running mate but couldn’t resist a humorous aside about Usha, who quickly became a social media sensation.

Trump’s playful remark

At 78, Trump began his inaugural address by expressing gratitude to his team, including JD Vance, who had recently been re-elected to the Senate from Ohio. Trump, who endorsed Vance’s campaign, described him as “a great senator and a very, very smart one.” But then, in a moment of levity, he quipped, “The only one smarter is his wife.”

The crowd erupted in laughter as Trump turned to JD Vance and joked, “I would have chosen her, but somehow the line of succession didn’t work that way, right?” JD, smiling warmly, acknowledged the compliment with a nod. Trump continued his praise, calling the couple “a great, beautiful couple with an unbelievable career.”

Usha vance: The unexpected star

Usha Vance, resplendent in an elegant pink ensemble, quickly became a focus of public fascination. Her tender and admiring expression as her husband took the oath of office captured the attention of millions. Social media platforms were flooded with posts celebrating her warmth and grace, with many users calling her a symbol of quiet strength and support.

The hashtag #UshaVance trended on Twitter, with users sharing images of her poised demeanour and offering glowing commentary about her role in the Vance family’s political journey. Some even remarked that her intelligence and charm had stolen the show.

Trump’s ambitious first day

While Trump’s remarks about Usha Vance dominated the softer side of the news cycle, his inaugural day was marked by decisive actions. In his speech, Trump declared his administration’s mission to restore America’s faith in its institutions. “From this moment on, America’s decline is over,” he proclaimed. “Our liberties and our nation’s glorious destiny will no longer be denied.”

True to form, Trump wasted no time implementing his agenda:

  1. Reinstating the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy: This controversial immigration policy was revived to curb illegal crossings, marking a significant shift in border enforcement.
  2. Tackling organised crime: Trump designated Mexican cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organisations, signalling a hardline approach to border security and crime.
  3. Withdrawing from the paris climate agreement: The decision to exit the global pact reaffirmed Trump’s focus on prioritising American industry over international climate commitments.
  4. Extending TikTok ban deadline: Amid ongoing security concerns, Trump delayed the US ban on TikTok by 75 days, allowing further evaluation of its potential risks.
  5. Pardoning january 6 participants: In a move that drew significant controversy, Trump issued pardons to approximately 1,500 individuals involved in the Capitol riots, framing it as a step toward national reconciliation.

A new chapter in US politics

Trump’s inauguration marked a dramatic shift in American politics, with promises of bold action and a return to his signature “America First” policies. Yet, amidst the sweeping political changes, it was his comment about Usha Vance that provided a rare moment of levity and human connection.

Usha’s supportive presence and the admiration she inspired highlight the importance of personal relationships in the political sphere. Her quiet grace may have stolen the spotlight for a moment, but it also underscored the strength of the partnership she shares with JD Vance—a partnership that will undoubtedly play a role in shaping the next four years of the Trump administration.

As America embarks on this new chapter, Usha Vance’s unexpected rise to prominence serves as a reminder that behind every political figure lies a network of support, love, and inspiration.
