Sahil Adeem, a self-declared public speaker, named 95pc of women in Pakistan ‘ignorant’ during his current TV session, reported in The Dawn News.
PPP lawmaker Marvi Faseeh presented on Thursday a resolution to the Sindh Assembly Secretariat convicting a degrading comment made about women by public speaker Sahil Adeem on a previous SAMAA TV show.
Sahil Adeem expressed that 95 percent of women nationwide were ‘jahil’ (ignorant) on the SAMAA TV show Mukalma, which was conducted by contentious screenwriters Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and Ayesha Jehanzeb.
He duplexed down on this statement when questioned by a woman in the specters.
The criticism against Adeem was serious, with many people, involving lawyer Jibran Nasir, summoning him and dealing like he controlled the discussion with the audience associates.
Faseeh presented the resolution under Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 124 of Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, 2013.
In her resolution, she denounced the comments caused by the “so-called public speaker”. “Sahil Adeem’s comments are a severe affront to our religious, social and legal values, which have caused great offence to women at large,” read the report, contacting for lawful movement to be accepted against him.
The resolution is anticipated to be held at the next Sindh Assembly session, where Faseeh will surely make sure of her presence.
