Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson have announced the birth of their first child together, a baby boy named Oscar Alexander Westwick.
The Gossip Girl star, 37, and his wife shared the happy news on Instagram, posting a black and white photograph of themselves cradling their newborn. The caption read:
“Welcome to the world, baby boy. Oscar Alexander Westwick.”
The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulations from fans and celebrities alike. Among those leaving well-wishes in the comments section were TV presenter Stacey Dooley, Love Island’s Zara McDermott, and former Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan.
A love story that began on the racetrack
Westwick and Jackson’s relationship began in 2021, when the couple first met at the Silverstone motor racing circuit. Their romance quickly blossomed, leading to an engagement at the start of 2024.
The couple tied the knot in a stunning three-day wedding celebration in Italy in August 2024, after a legal ceremony in London.
For their London ceremony, Jackson chose a vintage Chanel dress paired with a custom Maison Michel hat, before the newlyweds flew to the Amalfi Coast for the grand celebrations.
The main wedding event took place at Castello di Rocca Cilento, a 16th-century castle with breathtaking panoramic sea views. Reflecting on the celebrations, Jackson shared on Instagram:
“What an unforgettable weekend. Our farewell brunch with friends and family was everything we could have hoped for.”
A growing family
While this is Westwick’s first child, Jackson is already a mother to her son Dre, from a previous relationship. She has spoken openly about the joys of motherhood, and now, with the arrival of Oscar, she and Westwick are embracing life as parents together.
The couple have yet to reveal further details about their newborn but have been overwhelmed with love and support from their followers and celebrity friends.
Westwick’s career and fame
Westwick is best known for his role as Chuck Bass in the hit US teen drama Gossip Girl, which ran from 2007 to 2012. His portrayal of the wealthy, charismatic, and often scheming character earned him a dedicated fanbase and solidified his status as a television star.
Beyond Gossip Girl, Westwick has appeared in several other projects, including:
- Comedy series White Gold (2017–2019)
- Coming-of-age film Son of Rambow (2007)
- Romantic comedy Chalet Girl (2011)
Despite his Hollywood success, Westwick has largely kept his personal life private, making this recent family announcement even more special for fans.
What’s next for the couple?
With their newborn son and their first months of marriage ahead, Westwick and Jackson are undoubtedly looking forward to cherishing their time as a family.
As they embark on this new chapter, fans will be eagerly awaiting glimpses of their life as parents and perhaps even future acting projects for Westwick.
For now, however, the focus is on baby Oscar, as the couple settle into their new roles as mum and dad.
