England opted to bowl first and skittled the USA for 115 runs. The most highlighted one was the Chris Jordan because he took four wickets in five balls. It includes a hat-trick as well, which makes him the first Englishman to achieve this in T20 Internationals.
However, USA lose five wickets in six balls and too without adding a single run. Jos Buttler’s men led the charge with an unbeaten 83 off 38 balls, resulting six fours and seven sixes. England romped home in 9.4 overs. Buttler reached his half century in just 32 balls.
On Sunday, by winning over the USA, England secured their spot for semi-final in T20 World Cup 2024.
However, this doesn’t define their final position. That will be decided after the West Indies-South Africa clash on Monday.
South Africa current status is undefeated in the tournament and Super 8s with two wins. With the Net Run Rate of +9.625. To join England in semi-final, South Africa need to win over West Indies.
