Recent buzz surrounding Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha’s luxurious home in Bandra West, Mumbai, going up for sale has caught the attention of many. This house, rich in sentimental value, is where Sonakshi tied the knot with actor Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. However, it appears that the actress has now decided to move on and has purchased a new home.
While Sonakshi has not publicly commented on the sale, a source close to the actress revealed, “Sonakshi has bought a bigger apartment in a building that Zaheer is developing.” For those who might not know, Zaheer Iqbal, who made his Bollywood debut with The Notebook in 2019, hails from a family deeply involved in the construction business. His family’s experience in real estate is reflected in the development of the new property where the couple will now reside.
A Special Place with Emotional Ties
The Bandra West house holds significant emotional value for Sonakshi. Last year, during Diwali, she shared a glimpse of her cherished home with Bombay Times, highlighting how special this property was to her. It was the first house she bought entirely on her own, marking a significant milestone in her life.
In her earlier interview, Sonakshi spoke about her motivation to buy the house, crediting her father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, as her inspiration. “It was because of my dad that I wanted to buy my own house. He fondly talks about the first house that he bought after he came to Mumbai from Patna, which he still owns. It’s a 1BHK apartment at Bandstand (Bandra). For him, it’s like his palace. Seeing his excitement, I always wanted to buy a house on my own, and it’s a special feeling,” she shared.
The actress’s decision to sell this home, despite its sentimental value, indicates a new chapter in her life. Moving into a larger, newly developed apartment symbolizes both a personal and professional evolution for Sonakshi, especially as she embarks on this new journey with her husband, Zaheer Iqbal.
As Sonakshi transitions to her new abode, fans and well-wishers are left with the memories and significance of the house she once called her own—a place that witnessed not just her growth as an independent woman but also the beginning of a new life with her partner.
