One of the biggest complaints from fans watching the Premier League darts at the O2 Arena in London was the high price for drinks they referred to as ‘daylight robbery’.
The prices have also been tendered high, which has caused the fans to feel that the organisers are exploiting them. The match that was played on May 23 had fans spend up to £8. 10 for a pint of beer, a trend that is quite a leap from the previous years.
It has led to high-cost antipathy from fans, many of whom have voiced their complaints on social media platforms. “It’s a joke,” said one fan. Last but not least, customers complain that you cannot even get a good pint for less than the £7 Mark.
Another fan chimed in, “I frankly saw cheaper prices at Cheltenham Festival and that they have a huge event. It is just ridiculous.” That is why the prices are high: due to the high popularity of the event and the relatively high operational costs of the O2 Arena.
Nonetheless, the prices are considered unpopular among fans because they are too expensive, and the event organizers are capitalizing on their passion for the sport.
