The former minister stated PM Shehbaz’s govt has departed 240 million people ‘hanging on empty electric wires’, quoted by Tribune News
Former federal minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid has berated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government, stating it has left 240 million people “hanging on bare electric wires,” as they strive to settle their electricity bills.
On Monday, conversing with the media after Eid prayers at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rashid claimed, “People cannot afford to pay their electricity bills or school fees. Inflation is so high that even sacrificial offerings have significantly decreased.”
Rashid also declared that PTI founder Imran Khan is accurate in claiming that discussions with the latest government are useless, as the real potency fibs elsewhere.
“The state of the country is visible to everyone. Trillions of rupees in taxes have been imposed while people cannot afford basic utilities,” he claimed. He blamed PM Shehbaz for prejudicing manufacturers, which, according to him, has compelled the countryside into a trench.
“The nation comprises its people, not just one individual. Here, one person represents the whole party. People will take to the streets, and this government is under a divine curse. The time for negotiations has passed, and issues remain unresolved,” Rashid claimed further.
He announced that he would ignore politics until August 30, citing that the country’s influential processes desire a prime minister who prides himself. “Institutions should bring all stakeholders to the table. Where are those who claimed that $25 billion was coming from Saudi Arabia?” he interrogated.
Sheikh Rashid terminated by developing Eid salutations to the people of Gaza, Palestine, and Kashmir.
