Assistant law officer
Mode of appointment: Deputation (including Short-Term Contract)
Eligibility criteria:
- Officers currently serving under Central/State Governments, Union Territories, recognised Universities, Research Institutions, Public Sector Undertakings, or Semi-Government/Autonomous/Statutory Organisations.
- Must hold:
- An analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre, or
- Two years’ service in Level-7 of the pay matrix (Rs. 44,900–1,42,400 as per 7th CPC), or
- Six years’ service in Level-6 of the pay matrix (Rs. 35,400–1,12,400 as per 7th CPC).
Educational qualifications:
- A law degree from a recognised university.
Experience:
- At least three years of experience in handling legal services, including legal matters in courts or tribunals.
Legal assistant
Mode of appointment: Deputation (including Short-Term Contract)
Eligibility criteria:
- Officers serving under Central/State Governments, Union Territories, recognised Universities, Research Institutions, Public Sector Undertakings, or Semi-Government/Autonomous/Statutory Organisations.
- Must hold:
- An analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre, or
- Three years’ regular service in Level-6 of the pay matrix (Rs. 35,400–1,12,400 as per 7th CPC), or
- Six years’ regular service in Level-5 of the pay matrix (Rs. 29,200–92,300 as per 7th CPC).
Educational qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in law from a recognised university established by a Central/State Act or approved by the Central Government.
Experience:
- Two years’ experience in handling legal matters in Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, or Private Sector Organisations.
