On Friday, the Punjab Home Ministry imposed Section 144 across the province for seven days.
According to this order, all public gatherings, rallies, processions, and protests are banned.

This order has been issued due to security concerns and teh potential risk of terrorism. Large crowds are seen as vulnerable targets for terrorist activities.
To ensure proper compliance, authorities will strictly enforce the ban so that public safety cannot be at risk during this period.
Along with this, in regards to operations, CTD – Counter Terrorism Department conducted 180 Intelligence Based Operations known as IBOs across various cities in Punjab.
The CTD spokesman stated that the terrorist affiliated with the banned TTP who was trained in South Waziristan, was arrested in Mianwali.
Operations were also carried out in:
– Lahore
– Rawalpindi
– Sargodha
– Gujranwala
– Multan and other cities
