The BJP, led by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is expecting the support of a few major coalition partners to complete the new Indian government. The BJP has been in power since 2014, and the party has made significant contributions in framing up the policies and structure of the country.
The party has heavily depended on NDA, comprising several regional parties like Janata Dal (United), Shiv Sena, AIADMK etc. These parties ensured the BJP got the simple majority needed to form the central government.
To this end, the BJP carries forward its organisational structure and popular support base to clinch the forthcoming elections. The ruling party has been on the vote hunt nationwide, selling its record and promising to continue implementing development-oriented policies.
Second, the BJP is also looking for vote transfers with the help of its leadership, including Prime Minister Modi, who played an essential role in the party’s victory. In as much as Modi has a magnetic personality and assertive leadership qualities that help the party garner the support of the people.
The BJP plans to stay on its actual Goals: Growth, Security, and Welfare of Society and try to address a particular segment’s concerns. The party is also in a bid to pose as a viable and stable option to the opposition, which they claim is a divided house with no coherent blueprint for the nation.
In summary, the BJP relies on the party’s well-organized structure, charismatic leadership, and pro-development agenda to head the next Indian government. The party is to return to basics and mobilize the support of the various factions of society while at the same time presenting a formidable alternative to the opposition.
