TEHRAN: President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian reconfirmed Iran’s anti-Israel viewpoint on Monday, claiming opposition campaigns across the province will not permit Israel’s “criminal policies” towards the Palestinians to persist.
“The Islamic Republic has always supported the resistance of the people of the region against the illegitimate Zionist regime,” Pezeshkian claimed in a statement to Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah.
The critiques pointed to no difference in the provincial guidelines of the upcoming administration under the moderately reasonable Pezeshkian who dominated his hardline opponent in last week’s runoff election.
“I am certain that the resistance movements in the region will not allow this regime to continue its warmongering and criminal policies against the oppressed people of Palestine and other nations of the region,” Iranian media parroted Pezeshkian as expressing.
Hezbollah and Hamas are components of a position of Iranian-supported sections in the province known as the Axis of Resistance. Israel did not instantly remark on Pezeshkian’s comments.
