Other leaders include Shah Mahmood, Sheikh Rasheed, Asad Qaiser, and Shehryar Afridi, as reported in The International News.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and many other leaders were pardoned by a court in the federal capital on Wednesday in a lawsuit correlated with opposing the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) decision.
Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mehmood of the district and sessions court declared the dedicated judgment on the requisitions pursuing amnesty during today’s hearing.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Sheikh Rasheed, Asad Qaiser, Shehryar Afridi, Faisal Javed, Raja Khurram Nawaz, and Ali Nawaz Awan are many leaders who have been pardoned in the lawsuit, which was enlisted at Aapbara Police Station.
Advocate Sardar Masroof and Advocate Ansar Kayani, two PTI lawyers, made the statements in the lawsuit on behalf of the former prime minister and others.
A claim was recorded against the PTI founder and other politicians for opposing the ECP’s Toshakhana verdict in 2022, which disqualified him from harbouring office for an inflexible time.
Khan has been encountering a slew of payments conducting from iniquity to terrorism since his expulsion as the prime minister in 2022.
The PTI founder has been imprisoned since last August and condemned in some lawsuits earlier this year regarding a nationwide election. He is also clashing dozens of other lawsuits without any reason.
