On Monday, the Islamabad district and session court absolved the Former prime minister of Pakistan and Chairman PTI Imran Khan and his party’s central leader, Mehmood Qureshi, because of two cases reported due to Haqeeqi Azadi March on 9 May.
Islamabad Session Court attended both cases, which pointed against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration for defacement case during the Azadi March in Lahore.
PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan, Naeem Haider Panjotha, and Sardar Masroof Advocate Amina Ali Advocate seemed in a court hearing before the court session with Former Minister Asad Umar.
After this, Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and other members were absolved due to the defacement case.
It is important to note that both cases were reported against Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and some other party members at Golra Police Station in 2022. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was absolved due to the 9 May Azadi March cases.
On 9 May 2023, when Imran Khan was arrested, an extreme situation occurred in the country. The public came out of their houses in different cities, and many protests from major cities and remotely started. Due to the public’s ignition, as Imran Khan was arrested, they opposed it. Forces from different provinces, such as Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the federal government started implementing rules and policies to stop mobs.
Many PTI protesters attacked many Army installations, including the Corps Commander’s house in Lahore. So, it is crucial to remember that the name of former prime minister Imran Khan was reported in the case of the 9 May incident.
