Chinese smartphone brand iQOO has announced that its upcoming flagship, the iQOO 13, will receive the company’s longest ever software support. The smartphone, set to launch in India on December 3, will be powered by Vivo’s Android 15-based FunTouch OS 15 user interface. iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO 13 will be supported with four generations of Android updates and five years of security patches, making it one of the most future-proof devices in the brand’s lineup.
The news marks an important milestone for iQOO, a brand known for delivering high-performance smartphones at competitive prices. The extended software support ensures that users will benefit from long-term updates, keeping the device up to date with the latest features and security enhancements.
In addition to software longevity, iQOO has promised several advanced features in the iQOO 13. The device will also support Google’s gesture-driven Circle to Search feature, providing users with an intuitive way to search for information. The phone, which launched in China last month, will carry similar features to its Chinese counterpart but will include a slightly smaller battery. The Indian version will feature a 2K resolution AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and LTPO technology, allowing for dynamic refresh rate adjustments. This display promises to deliver vibrant visuals and smooth performance, making it ideal for both everyday tasks and high-end gaming.
Under the hood, the iQOO 13 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, supported by a secondary Supercomputing Chip Q2 that aims to enhance gaming performance.
