WhatsApp, the Meta-owned immediate text medium, has initiated the latest design proposed to increase the security of group conversations, according to The Samaa News.
Anointed “context cards,” this design is launched to rescue applicants from being counted to many other groups by anonymous people, so handling the prevailing problem of online group deceptions.
WhatsApp’s press release expresses that, “The list of context cards has already begun rolling out globally and is expected to be available to all users in the coming weeks.”
The context card design offers extra knowledge when applicants obtain group invitations from different contacts, even those who are not saved on their mobile phones. The card involves many descriptions, such as the group’s composition date, a short detail of its aim of creation, and knowledge about the group’s maker. This added context permits applicants to draw more knowledgeable conclusions about cohering unknown groups.
But while the knowledge delivered by context cards may appear tiniest, it is aimed at providing just adequate familiarity for users to decide whether or not to accept a group invitation. Furthermore, users can report, block, or leave groups if they are doubtful about the legality of the invite.
WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart declared the latest design on his medium within the application, highlighting its function in securing applicants from across-the-board online group deceptions.
