2. Your Subscription to the WestFerry Times Services

Subscribing to the WestFerry Times

2.1. Subscription Types

We offer various subscription options, including:

• Digital Subscriptions: Access to www.westferrytimes.com and all digital content.
• Print Subscriptions: Delivery of the printed WestFerry Times newspaper.
• Bundled Subscriptions: Combined access to both www.westferrytimes.com and the printed newspaper.
• Trial Subscriptions: Limited-time trial access to our services.
• These are collectively referred to as “the Subscriptions” and individually as a “Subscription.” Additional terms may apply to Trial Subscriptions, and these will be indicated clearly where applicable.

2.2. Trial Subscription Limitation

You are allowed one Trial Subscription within any twelve-month period. We reserve the right to cancel any Trial Subscription without a refund if you have accessed a Trial Subscription within the previous twelve months.

2.3. Purchasing a Subscription

You may purchase a Subscription by placing an order and providing the necessary details on www.westferrytimes.com, by phone, email, using our Live Chat, or by mail. We will accept your order after successfully verifying your email address, processing your payment, and sending a confirmation email.

2.4. Processing and Acceptance

We will make reasonable efforts to process your Subscription order promptly but cannot guarantee activation by a specific time. We reserve the right to reject any Subscription order at our discretion. You confirm that the details you provide for sign-up and payment are complete and accurate. Each Subscription is intended for a single user only. Sharing access or allowing third parties to bypass our access control measures may lead to suspension or cancellation of your Subscription.

Fees and Payment

2.5. Subscription Fees

You agree to pay the Subscription fees at the rates and in the currency indicated during the Subscription process. Prices may vary by country and over time, and Subscriptions may be available on different terms (e.g., one-off, monthly, annual). Unless otherwise stated, prices include any applicable value-added tax (VAT) or other sales taxes. VAT details will be shown on the invoice.

2.6. Payment Authorization
If we do not receive payment authorization or if any authorization is subsequently canceled, we may terminate or suspend your Subscription immediately.

2.7. Trial Subscription to Full Subscription
If you start with a Trial Subscription, we will inform you of the full Subscription price at the beginning of the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial period ends, your Subscription will automatically renew at the full price. To cancel, please go to Manage Your Account and follow the cancellation instructions.

2.8. Price Changes
We will notify you at least 14 days before any price increase takes effect, which will apply at your next renewal date.

2.9. Pricing Errors
If we incorrectly state a price, we are not obliged to provide a Subscription at that price, even if we mistakenly accepted your order. We will notify you of the correct price, and you can choose to cancel and receive a refund or pay the correct price. If you do neither, we may cancel your Subscription and refund any payment.

2.10. Refunds
If a refund is due, it will be credited to the original payment method unless it has expired. In such cases, we will contact you to arrange the refund.

2.11. Additional Costs
You are responsible for any additional costs such as broadband, mobile data, messaging, or other internet connection charges incurred while accessing WestFerry Times content. This includes any charges levied by your bank or credit card issuer for transactions in foreign currencies.

2.12. Payment Security
We use encrypted secure payment mechanisms to ensure your payment information is secure. We are not liable for any loss if a third party gains unauthorized access to your payment information, provided we have not acted negligently or breached applicable laws.

Home Delivery

2.13. Newspaper Delivery
For those with a Print Subscription, we deliver the newspaper from Monday to Saturday to the address provided, within our delivery areas. Delivery may be delayed by national or public holidays. We do not guarantee delivery to non-secure locations or above the ground floor. Special delivery requests may not be fulfilled and could be visible to third parties.

2.14. Commencement of Delivery
Delivery typically begins within 2 business days in the UK, 7-10 business days in the Eurozone, and 10-12 business days in the United States. Delivery times for other regions will be confirmed separately.

2.15. Missed Delivery
If you do not receive your newspaper as expected, contact us within 7 days. We may extend your Subscription or credit your account for the missed delivery.

2.16. Changing Delivery Address
To change your delivery address, contact us at least 10 days in advance. If delivery is not possible to your new address:

For Print Subscriptions, we will cancel your Subscription and issue a pro rata refund.

For Bundled Subscriptions, we will cancel and issue a pro rata refund, and transfer you to a new Digital Subscription if desired.

Paper or Digital Vouchers

2.17. Voucher Redemption
Vouchers for newspapers can be redeemed at participating UK retailers on the date shown. FT Weekend vouchers are valid on the Sunday of the same weekend. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or other products and must not be copied, resold, or transferred.

2.18. Voucher Issuance
Paper vouchers will be posted, and digital vouchers emailed using the details provided during sign-up.

2.19. Cancelled Subscriptions
If your Subscription is canceled, vouchers become invalid, and unused paper vouchers must be returned to the address on the back of the pack. We may provide refunds for returned vouchers for the remaining Subscription period. Paper and digital voucher subscriptions cannot be suspended.

Suspension of Deliveries

2.20. Temporary Suspension
For Print or Bundled Subscriptions, you can temporarily suspend delivery (e.g., during a holiday). Refer to the FAQ in our Help Centre for details and notice periods required for suspension.

2.21. Credit for Suspended Delivery
Credits will be applied to your next payment or refunded if the Subscription is not renewed. Limits apply to the number of editions credited annually, and unused allowances do not carry over to the next year. Voucher-based subscriptions or those obtained through intermediaries cannot be suspended.

Your Cancellation Rights

2.22. Digital Subscriptions
By placing an order for a Digital Subscription, you agree that it starts immediately upon our confirmation, waiving the statutory 14-day cancellation right. Cancellation requests will take effect at the end of the current subscription period, with no refund unless there is a fault in our service.

2.23. Print or Bundled Subscriptions
You can cancel within 14 days of our confirmation email without reason, receiving a refund less a pro-rated amount for any newspapers received. After this period, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period, with no refund unless there is a fault in our service. Immediate termination and refund apply if www.westferrytimes.com is unavailable for specified periods due to our fault.

2.24. How to Cancel
To cancel, use our online chat, call us, or email info@westferrytimes.com with your cancellation notice, including:

Full name (or billing contact if different)

Account email address or Account Number

Billing and delivery address (with postcode/zip code)

Contact telephone number

Our Cancellation Rights

2.25. Service Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate your Subscription due to legal or uncontrollable circumstances or if we cease publishing WestFerry Times services. In such cases, a pro-rata refund will be provided as permitted by law.

2.26. Breach of Terms
We may suspend or terminate your Subscription without refund if you breach these Terms and Conditions or if there is any verbal or written abuse directed at our staff or others. This may occur with or without notice.

2.27. Non-Subscribers
We may suspend or terminate access to WestFerry Times content for non-subscribers at any time, with or without notice.

Effects of Cancellation

2.28. Refund Processing
Refunds will be made without undue delay and not later than 14 days after notifying us of your cancellation.

2.29. Reimbursement Method
Refunds will be processed using your registered payment details. Additional charges may apply if a different payment method is required.

2.30. Newspaper Returns
You do not need to return newspapers received during your Subscription. Payments for these will be retained as per these Terms and Conditions.

2.31. Voucher Packs
If you use vouchers for accessing WestFerry Times, we may charge the subscription fee if unreturned voucher packs have been sent. Refunds will be provided upon receipt of the complete returned pack.

Renewals

2.32. Automatic Renewal
Unless you notify us at least 14 days before the end of your current subscription period, your Subscription will automatically renew for equivalent periods and under these Terms and Conditions. The same payment method will be used. For annual subscriptions, we will send a reminder notice at least 14 days before the renewal date, indicating the rate for the renewal period.
