Lahore police have successfully dismantled a human trafficking ring involved in abducting girls and forcing them into prostitution.
They arrested three suspects, including a women, and the rescue of three girls from Faisalabad.
the operation was led by the Organized Crime Unit under the direction of DIG Iman Kishwar.
The trafficking was involved in sending girls to prostitution centres and collecting a monthly fee of Rs.70,000.
“The group used to send girls to prostitution centres and collected Rs70,000 per month,” Kishore revealed during a press briefing.
“Mumtaz targeted girls who had left their homes in anger,” explained Kishwar. The girls were then coerced into the sex trade. the gang used fake marriage certificates to legitimize their abductions and deceive the victims.
“We are committed to dismantling this network and ensuring justice for the victims,” said Kishwar.
The investigation is ongoing, with effort underway to locate and rescue more victims by gaining information form the arrested suspects.
