A day after a “massacre” in al-Mawasi, Israeli soldiers continue to bomb civilians, killing at least 16 Palestinians in northern Gaza City and six more in southern Rafah.
Funerals are taking place “every 15 minutes” after Israel’s air force bombarded the “humanitarian” zone in southern Gaza, killing at least 90 people and injuring 300 more.
The bombings, which prompted censure from the United Nations and Middle Eastern countries, occurred after Israeli forces attacked a dilapidated mosque in the Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza City, killing at least 20 people, including worshippers.
Since October 7, Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 38,443 individuals and wounded 88,481. Israel’s death toll from the Hamas-led assault on October 77 is estimated at 1,139, and dozens of people are still held captive in Gaza.
According to Palestinian media, civil defense teams found six dead in an area west of Rafah in southern Gaza. Earlier, local sources reported that an Israeli bombing killed at least two civilians near the Rafah crossing.
Palestinians in the war-torn northern suburb of Shujayea are battling to survive after Israeli forces bombarded the Gaza City neighborhood for two weeks.
Resident Fares Amer Mushtaha stated, “As you can see, Shujayea has been reduced to dust. It has been wiped out. They blasted us without warning and did not distribute pamphlets, or call. Missiles have just begun to fall on civilians, including women, children, and the elderly. The occupying army instructed us to go to western Gaza, and then they attacked and targeted it with their Another local, Nael Alsousi, who stated that Israeli forces attacked Shujayea’s water supply, and “one can say there is no water at all”.
“Wells were completely damaged, as was the municipal water network. Even the tanker trucks that used to transport fresh water can no longer enter the neighborhood due to the damage of the infrastructure and roadways.”
