There is going to be a meeting today in Quetta by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to observe the crescent moon for Muharram 1446 Hijri.
Although, According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), there is little chance that tomorrow will see the Muharram moon. This is significant because the first month of the Islamic calendar begins when the moon is seen.
The moon-sighting committee chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, will preside over the main gathering. District and zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meetings will be held simultaneously at the designated sites.
Moreover, In a statement released on June 20, the PMD mentioned that the new moon of Muharram is anticipated to be born at the conjunction point on July 6 at 03:57 PST. It is not possible to see the new moon on the evening of July 6, which is the 29th of Zilhij 1445 AH, due to astronomical reasons.
