Saudi Arabia declared big news that it will transform all its streetlights to LED to save energy and power. By doing so, it will become the first G20 country.
During the opening ceremony of the Global Project Management Forum 2024, which was held in Riyadh from June 2 to 3, Muhammad Muaafa, the technical services director of Tarshid, a national Energy company, announced the title of the discussion: “Saudi Vision 2030 Outlook.”
According to this discussion panel, the National Energy Company is developing many projects to preserve energy in different residential and commercial areas throughout the state.
The main purpose of all these innovative steps is to help the Kingdom develop by reducing net-zero emissions of gases by 2060. The main target is to produce 50% of energy from renewable sources by 2023.
“We will be considered as one of the countries in G20 that are taking initiatives to transform the whole street lights into LED to save energy power, stated a discussion panel.
The director said that, this project has supported them in preserving 70-75% electricity.
The actual main purpose is to minimize the usage of power and the emission of gases.
Gathering the most important technological community of Kindom along with investors to enhance education setups, communication, and support systems is the actual purpose of the Global Project Management Forum 2024.
