The son of former President Donald Trump made his public debut at a campaign rally in Doral, Florida, where his father was speaking. Barron was praised by the audience after former President Trump introduced him.
“This is the first time he’s ever done it,” former President Trump said
“You’re pretty popular; he might be more popular than Don and Eric,” he said,
He got up and waved during a prolonged round of applause. Barron might be more popular than Trump’s older sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, he joked.
So, Barron, it’s good to have you. Welcome to the scene, Barron,” the former president said. “He had such a nice, easy life. Now it’s a little bit changed.”
Barron waved, gave thumbs up, and pumped his fists at the throng, but he remained silent. Trump posted pictures of Barron on social media after the rally, but he remained silent. Barron has mostly avoided the spotlight, in contrast to his older siblings who have been involved in politics.
Barron turned down the invitation to represent the Florida Republican Party as a delegate to the upcoming Republican National Convention in Milwaukee because of other obligations.
In interviews, Trump has stated that Barron, a political science major and good student, occasionally offers him political advice. Barron will soon be starting college. Melania Trump, the former first lady, who has likewise maintained a low profile throughout the 2024 campaign, stated that she is in favor of her husband being reelected.
“While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines due to prior commitments,” the statement from the former first lady’s office said in a statement in May.
“He’s a great guy. He’s a little on the tall side, I will tell you. He’s a tall one. But he’s a good-looking guy, and he’s really been a great student and he does like politics. It’s sort of funny, he‘ll tell me sometimes, ’Dad, this is what you have to do,’” former President Trump told Philadelphia’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT in May, adding that his son will soon “be going to college.”
At the rally, Trump made an appearance alongside Senator Marco Rubio, who is a prospective contender for vice president. He also suggested Senators Tim Scott and J.D. Vance, as well as Governor Doug Burgum of North Dakota, as potential running mates.
